SCHEDULE: Seasonal (May–September; weekends, evenings, and holidays required)

COMPENSATION: Hourly (Non-Exempt)

Burning Tree Country Club is seeking hardworking, reliable, and team-oriented Seasonal Pool Bar Barbacks to support our summer bar operations.

This role is essential to maintaining an efficient and well-stocked bar environment, allowing bartenders to focus on delivering exceptional service to Members and guests. The Pool Bar Barback plays a key role in ensuring the bar operates smoothly through organization, preparation, and attention to detail in a fast-paced, outdoor setting.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

As a Pool Bar Barback, you play a critical support role in delivering a seamless Member experience.

The Essentials (Core Responsibilities)

• Stock the bar with necessary supplies including ice, glassware, garnishes, mixers, and beverages

• Replenish inventory throughout service to maintain efficient operations

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including counters, floors, and storage areas

• Assist bartenders with preparation tasks such as cutting fruit, restocking, and organizing supplies

• Remove empty bottles, trash, and recycling from the bar area

• Wash and polish glassware as needed

• Ensure bar stations are properly set up before service and cleaned after service

• Support bartenders and servers to maintain smooth service flow

Education & Experience

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Previous barback or food & beverage experience preferred

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Basic knowledge of bar operations preferred

Communication Skills

• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and move for extended periods of time

• Ability to lift and carry kegs, cases, and supplies (up to 50 pounds)

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks including bending, lifting, and reaching
